  1. Dr.Sc. Applied Computer Science

    Thesis: Leveraging Machine Learning for Developing Biological and Digital Biomarkers: Studies in Neurological Disorder Diagnostics, Circadian Rhythm Monitoring, and Heart Failure Prognostics (doi: 10.3929/ethz-c-000788069).

    I focused on developing biological and digital biomarkers in health diagnostics, monitoring, and prognostics utilizing machine learning. I managed the full research lifecycle, from study design and data collection to model development and manuscript writing. I led the following projects:

    • Voice-Based Prognostics for Heart Failure.
    • Circadian Rhythm Monitoring using Commercial Wearables.
    • Neurological Diagnostics from multi-omics data.
    • GeHirNet, a sex-aware hierarchical model for voice pathology classification.

    My responsibilities encompassed designing studies, developing mobile apps and web servers, conducting studies, collecting data, and data analysis including signal processing and ML implementation.

  2. Visiting Researcher in Audio AI

    Harvard Medical School & Massachusetts General Hospital
    Developed a multimodal explainable AI pipeline integrating audio, physiological signals, and patient-reported data for heart failure deterioration prediction. Identified novel vocal biomarkers associated with cardiac deterioration, improving predictive performance.
